Was the original a mistake? Or maybe Sega is trying to cover their tracks?

Earlier this week, I posted on a growing rumour regarding Sonic Generations coming to the 3DS.

Here is the original listing, which clearly (at least if you can read Japanese) shows a 3DS version of Sonic Generations.

A 3DS version and a PC version popped up in a Sammy earnings report, which led many to believe the title was on its way to the 3DS.

It now seems Sega has revised this earnings report and unsurprisingly, the 3DS and PC listings have been removed.

Although it is possible Sega made a mistake on the original earnings report, it is much more likely that they are simply trying to cover their tracks and keep the other platforms under wraps until they are officially unveiled.

i disagree, its not about bringing something new always but creating a fun experience. Consider ACB and AC2, there wasnt much that was new but ppl gave it as much rating because it was equally fun. Sonic can never be boring due to its pace and i really wished for the PC version (cuz i aint gonna get the 3ds atm)

Maybe it's a surprise E3 announcement, no one knows, even if it ain't then no problem, it's not like I care anyways

On a side note, how many of your relatives have gone through the rapture and into insta-heaven so far? LOL!

I actually enjoyed the Sonic newer releases, like Sonic Colours and Sonic Unleashed. I'm not disappointed that the 3DS listsing is removed, but they'd be stupid to remove the Wii's listing, that's where they get their cashé.

Well, ACB did bring an entire multiplayer mode to the franchise for the first time and that's why it got good ratings.

I do find it funny that when it' was supposedly for the 3DS/PC, people were going batty, saying it'll be awesome and were just totally psyched. Now, when the listing is removed, people couldn't care less.

Funny.

Nothing of value was lost. I'd rather see one polished and genuinely *good* Sonic game on a handful of consoles rather than a crappy 3DS port, thank you very much.

I've had my dose of "Sonic Rush 7" already. It's like Sonic didn't budge much on the handhelds since Sonic Advance - back then it was my religion, but by now I'd expect the franchise to step it up.

I love Sonic, but I'm not expecting his rebirth before Adventure 3 hits the shelves.

I hope you mean Brotherhood because there was a lot of new content in AC2.
