Hardware Searching For A New PC

Hi. I am searching for a new laptop that needs to have USB ports, so I don't think a netbook would work. I will be buying this from Newegg so I would appreciate it if you could make some suggestions. I would like a system that is reasonably priced.

What’s your budget? Are you willing to stretch for extra features?
What size/weight/form factor do you want to aim for?
Is battery important to you?

Since OP didn't give any specific details about what he wants, I assume he doesn't really care all that much about fine details. Let's try something different.
I'm gonna mention what I would pick. Anything cheaper, would be too weak for what I consider for computing standards in 2019.
A Dell Inspiron 14 7000 with a 8th gen i5, 8GB DDR4, 256GB SSD, Nvidia MX150 GPU, and a 14" FHD panel/////$650
Doesn't get much better with regards to reasonably priced.

it's actually a new pc for my parents. the monitor to the old one seems to be damaged. I'd say a budget of around $600-700. my dad only uses his computer for ebay, so it doesn't have to be something too extravagant. thaniks guys.

You’re assuming he has a smartphone. I know a lot of parents who stick to dumbphones because the battery life lasts all week.

i'd reccomend an asus viviobook if you'r looking for brand new but i would reccommend a used dell e6430 atg much more

What did you end up getting? My only advice wouldve been to get the largest screen possible since increasing font size is usually needed with advancing age.
