does anyone know how to get mame emulator on to my wii homebrew
tried it allready does not work ?

when i try to load sdlmame in hombrew it say that it cannot locate mamefs-fs file
what am i doing wrong?

i tried open sdlmame through twilight hack but cannot it cannot find boot elf
so i converted it to boot dol still would not work

I've used the ELF to DOL converter found here to convert the *.elf file to *.dol but when l try to launch it from HBC I get "This is not a valid wii application". Can someone please share the boot file with me in *.DOL format so l can test it out?

To install this version of SDLMame:
- Copy the files "boot.elf" and "mamefs-fs to the root directory of your sdcard.
- Copy the directory mame and its contents to the root directory of your sdcard.
- Create a dyrectory called "mameroms" on the root of your SDCard

To play with this game:
- Insert the SDCard on the front SD adapter of your wii.
- On your wii, execute the file "root.elf" using your favourite method for loading
aplications (Twilight hack or homebrew channel).

Did you follow all the directions?

Hi Krissynz,

Yes I've not only read the read-me, but I've done that (you can also run SDLMame from the /apps folder as well according to youtube videos). So what l need is either:

a.) a proper *.dol version of the boot file (someone please pm me w/this if you have this working).
-or-
b.) a way to get my HBC to accept/run *.elf files

any ideas?

You probably have the same problem I did, do you have the Wii networked? If so use Homebrew Browser not Homebrew Channel to load the .elf file.
