That's Slot-1, not the SD slot. SD slots usually only have 9 pins (excluding UHS-3 slots, which Nintendo isn't using yet); Slot-1 has 17 pins.

Also, IIRC both Slot-1 and the SD slot on DSi are soldered, so you would need to desolder the existing slot and resolder the new one.

The SD slot itself is connected to the DSi via removable ribbon cable. It's attached to the back plate / lower case assembly of the DSi. A new back plate could be ordered, and if it has a working SD card slot (which a new one should), crisis averted.

They're pretty easy to replace, the old one just has to be unscrewed, the ribbon cable needs to be removed, and after that it's just a matter of plugging the ribbon cable back in and screwing it back on.

Alternatively, order a separate SD connector and replace it from your original lower case.

Okay in this case I'll replace the cable too... (The cable certainly require soldering yeah)

So no need for soldering (if it's the SD slot + the cable)? (my DSi is definitely an original one)

No need for soldering, right. This is the entire assembly that includes the SD card slot, volume buttons, and L and R buttons. All you'd need to do is remove the old assembly and replace it with this one.
