Hacking SD cards 4GB+?

wii system menu, no.
anything over 4gb *and most 4gb cards for that matter* are sdhc cards.

edit: re-read your question and not just the topic. yes you can use a standard 4gb card (non-sdhc) but you must have over 2gb filled on the card. (music, pictures, video, whatever) it has been known to cause corruption over time, so imo, your better off just using a 2gb or smaller card for wii system menu uses.

allot of apps etc wont as they're dead, the authors have moved to bigger and better things and not left any souces.

Wii supports SD cards up to 2 GB. There's a way of using 4 GB SD cards (NOT HC) on the Wii. I found a trick somewhere (you have to fill 2 gig of the 4 gig SD with random data, then it will recognize it after some kind of reboot or sthg like that), but I deleted the link, unfortunately. Try Google.
