Hacking Question SD Card storage space not recovered after deleting a game?

So, i need more space on my sd card for a new nsp game and i decided to delte Monster Hunter Generations nsp along with its update, via DevMenu (i am still on 5.1.0) and chose delete all (game plus update). Game got deleted (it's not on the menu anymore, it's not even in data management) but the sd card did free up the space taken by the game before.

I believe, somehow the game files are still on my sdcard, but how do i find the remnants of the game and delete them manually if need be.

So what are my options? Thanks

Install the game again and use Settings>Data Management to delete the game.

If it's still on the card, use cmd line chkdsk to check whether it could be corrupted somewhere.

Because the sd card free space remained the same as before the deletion.

Try to restarting your console, this might solve the issue.
