So basically I installed Homebrew on my Wii U a while back and installed some stuff in my sd card, which I then put it into a USB adapter so that the Wii U accepted it as a usb device. The thing is when I remove the USB from the Wii U and plug it into my computer, it doesn’t work. I tried multiple other sd card adapters, same problem, and obviously the sd card itself isn’t corrupted since it works fine on my Wii U. Anyone know what to do?

The wiiu has its own special file system that windows cannot read

This is normal, the SD card should not be able to be read by your computer

If you want to wipe it, just reformat the sd card (of course you would lose your games)

But the reason I want to do this is because the Homebrew launcher isn’t working so I figured something must be messedp in the files, if I can’t edit the sd card files then I can’t fix it. I only have one game in my sd card which I don’t care much about so that’s not an issue really, but I can’t remember everything I downloaded for Homebrew on my sd card, so idk if I would be able to get it all back

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Also I kind of want to download a few mods and stuff on the Wii U, how would I do that if the computer can’t read it

Believe it or not this is very common the slot where the card slots in becomes loose either the connectors or whatever I have had the same problem countless times before and I know it so damn annoying.

You can however FTP to the card directly via FTP Everywhere.

http://www.wiiubru.com/appstore/#/app/ftpiiu_everywhere

SD:\wiiu\apps\ftpiiu_everywhere

Now for your SD Card you will need another reader or you could try cleaning the reader contacts even card with cleaning Alcohol same stuff you clean CDs with etc Hand Sanitizer with Q Tip or similar Gently ESSPECIALLY CARD.

Other option try and make sure Card Firmly in Reader via CardBoard or something Tight Fit etc to atleast get what we want on it obviously do this when READER IS NOT CONNECTED TO PC.

Hayato213 Has actually made a good point check via Disk Manager Volumes and see if your Card is actually listed there just be careful if it is not reading correctly it can get corrupted Windows may even ask to scan for errors or you must format before you can use this message. Try Assigning a Letter W for example or X Y Z.
