Interesting...

Which is illegal, the app (which doesn't actually have the file), or the server that's hosting the file?

Well, I guess that poeple may have to go about finding the file themselves then, until a different revision is used...

well they don't need to provide the files? just tell us what is needed and we will hunt them right?

maybe in the next revision, wiigen can put a config file that set what you wanna do or install to your wii in just one click only?

Totally agree.

The config file module is under construction. But the file will be crypted (for brick security reasons).

For peoples who want a wad installer, this isn't the goal of sciifii. Wad batch installer already exists for this...

And sciifii has been tested under a lot of configuration (jap, eur, us, 3.2, 3.4, 4.2 etc...). Just use the hACK (with no corp) or advanced mode to do what you need.

Installing IOSs through wad files is much more convenient.

well it's good to hear that its been tested with different sysmenu, we really don't want a wad batch installer, the latest mod of wadmanager can already do that. what we need is full control of what we're installing in 1 click so we don't risk bricking any virgin wii.

EDIT: so if this 1 click installer is not for noobs only, do make us (advanced user)a favor.
let us say it's like a choice of what application we want to install.

and yeah +1 for deadly
"Sure this is great for noobs who dont want to learn, but I think it has potential to be dangerous especially for noobs who don't know what exactly is going on with their wii."

Lol, sciifii is installing wads....

It just download it for you and do some security checks....
But yes, people who know what they are doing should still use wadmanager. Sciifii is for noobs and will be auto updatable.

@wes11ph: yes you understand

You're right. This is the goal of sciifii.

Lol, no not only....

But if you know how your wii works, i think you don't need this.... Or perhaps for hack a virgin wii.

You can compare sciifii to a DDC kit (psp). It's not the same but the goal is the same.

So if i understand this correctly sciifii is for noobs or to easily hack a virgin wii and it includes everything essential to hack a wii

what system menu does it support? since none was specified i am guessing all
I may be getting another wii should i use this or do what i did with my family's wii, going though all the steps is this just convenient

Yes, this has been tested unde different regions and versions.
You can use this to hack a new wii (or use your favorite method).

I don't think I'll be using this anytime soon, but I like the idea of it. I'm sure everyone can appreciate a few clicks of the buttons being saved. I am skeptical as to the future usage of this software. It's already been said that this is mainly for the lazies and the newbs but there is still something about this that seems like it might break things in the future.

you should add priiloader installation as well. and auto-corping seems like a bad idea (not to knock cioscorp, just that i am not a fan). I would use the official installer for cioscorp.

Meh...

I would stick to only using the essential things: HBC,bootmii, priiloader. None of this Gx&Corp stuff.

I don't like the idea that usb loader gx is part of this installer. I also dont like that just using the normal mode will update to 4.2, install cIOScorp, and install USB loader GX. This app does not provide any brick protection before it does anything.
Brick protection is certainly an issue.

As for updating, and installing CORP and GX...As far as I'm concerned, it should just do a TBR, delete stubs, then install cIOSes and be done. That's where the n00bs tend to struggle. DOP-IOS made it easier, but n00bs still manage to screw it up.

CORP is starting to become obsolete, seeing that all new wiis have D3-2 drives now anyway. I think this app would be better off if it was not installed by default.

As for GX, I've modded over 100 wiis. About 3/4 of them use CFG loader or Wiiflow.

I agree seeing how most Newcomers will be using a newer type Wii with the New Drive, cioscorp sholdn't be needed atleast not by default like stated above sense it wont be able to work anyways but other than that keep up the good work

So, do you think this will be better with that as default options?

- TBR
- Stub remover
- cios
- prriloader

all other options will be disabled by default.

That sounds better. Which cIOS will be installed? Just 249?

Also, how about installing the latest shop and shop IOS, to get rid of the update message?
