Homebrew Saves W/ Gateway

I wasn't really sure which section to post this, but as I'm sure many know, there's an issue with ripping older game saves (oot, super mario 3d land, etc.) with gateway. I dunno if it's due to encryption or the size of the save file. anyway, is there any way to rip older game saves from carts, so that they'll work with gateway. I hope this question makes sense.

    If your throat closes, putting oxygen in your mouth will not solve anything - as you will be introducing oxygen prior to the area of obstruction
