Hacking save game conversion?

When ever i try to use the savegame extractor on AC:CF i get ERROR (ret = -1) so was wondering if i could change data.bin to a .dat for use with the AC Toolkit.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Use FE100 to unpack the savefile... edit the .dat then repack the save.
