Hacking Safe to update?

I'm currently using Loading on my Pal Wii U and now i want to use Haxchi. I have an older System-Version, is it safe to update for Wii U and vWii?

Yes, you can update to 5.5.1, as it's the latest, once you're on there you can use full IOSU kernel.

Well was asking, because if he is on 5.5.1 and got a message online, Nintendo might be pushing a new update ahead of Zelda incoming... Then, it does matter, if 5.5.2 fixes security.

We'd know if there was an update coming. It'll say it on the dev portal a good week or so before hand.

BTW I registered my Pal NNID before 2014, Connected it to my Wii U Today and can't download Brain Training for free.

I doubt there is updates coming anytime soon, not even for Zelda breath of the wild. Probably maybe even some post update support like playstation 3 got long after support for games decreased. But who knows. Nintendo is usually not a fan of updates unless is 3DS

I believe you had to download it within a certain time frame, which was ages ago. If you did it, then you can redownload it whenever and it's still free.

Yeah something like downloaded before mid 2015 if I remember it right.
