Hacking S/UNEEK+DI: GameCube Game Support?

Is there any technical difficulties that made it unable to run GameCube Backups from HDD with DI, like MIOS runs on different hardware?
I'm not trying to blame or push the authors of S/UNEEK and DI at all on not having a GC compatibilty, I just want to know why.
Please tell if you know.

i think it was possible but complicated. you can do it with neek2o though and that is simple enough, just having the proper files in the proper folder.

I read the post and didn't find anything about GC compatibility.
Maybe it only works with WBFS?

no it only works with fat32, 32kb cluster size.
