Okay, as a frame of reference, I had been using the Gateway since before any of these alternate exploit methods were even a thing, so I have no idea what mset is, what menu/browser/whateverhax is. I simply run the sploit installer from the DS card (or my DStwo for convenience), go into the DS Profile settings and boot up the Gateway.

Anyways, I was previously told and made to understand that RxTools can work the same way, and basically would work equivalent to Gateway classic mode, trading access to the red card for being able to actually launch GBA and DSiWare finally.

So, at present i downloaded rxtools 2.6. I put the rxtools.dat onto the root of my 3DS's SD card. I then put the rxinstaller.nds file on my DStwo. Ran the installer from the DStwo, everything appeared to be fine. Went to launch the same way i did with the gateway, and it brings me to a menu with a bunch of different options. However, it flat out refuses to boot emunand at all. It just gives me an error I have no idea what is (and goes away too fast to capture in a picture) and boots me right back to the same (main?) menu.

What's the problem here? what am I missing?

Yes, but the Readme directions are basically asking me to create a whole new emunand, when I already have a perfectly working one via my Gateway. That's basically what I want it to (re)use here.

It pretty much says right away that nightly builds are not even remotely tested.

I'm not trying to brick my o3DS here...
Person who set up the nightlies here:
I can personally confirm that the latest nightly works just fine, as can many other people on reddit.

I only added the disclaimer because the script builds every new commit, even if the commit message is "DO NOT USE!"

Just read what the commit message is and you'll do fine.

EDIT: It's worth pointing out it's really hard to brick your 3ds with CFW, because it applies everything to EmuNAND, and worst come to worst you copy over the old files.

Just ignore the bits about creating a new emunand your gateway one will work fine

I can help you if you want just ask , i'll try to guide you through it .

MyN3DS runs sysnand 9.2 and EmuNand10.6 on RxTools nightlies without a DsTwo card or any sort of card.

Well so much for that. Folllowed the readme, copied the files, let the new installer run for the sploit, and all I get is a black screen. It won't show me anything so all I can do is force it to turn off.

You must be doing something wrong as it works for everyone else

For RxTools to work on a Emunand above 9.2 you will need
o3DS:slot0x25Key.bin and slot0x11Key.bin
n3DS:key_0x1B.bin and key_0x16.bin
Where could I find any of these files? All google is insisting on showing me is another thread on here referring to a "bad" version of these files and nowhere to actually download or use them.
