If I remember correct this error means that you haven't paste the "firm" folder into the rxfolder. You have to install python 2.7 on your pc, then download the last rxTools' release and extract it. Now go into the folder called "tools" and you'll find a little program with extension .py. Run it and copy-paste the folder that it create (named "firm") into the folder called " rxTools". At this point you have just to transfert this one into your SD and run rxTools as you already know.

I mean just copy-paste the "firm" folder into the "rxTools" folder that you have downloaded right now. Delete the "rxTools" folder that you already have in your SD before paste the new one. The path will be:
    SD/rxTools/firm.
Also I want to ask you if you have an old3ds or the new one and what is the version of the firmware on it

    I have O3DS ver 9.2U

It loads up and then goes back to the home menu, what's happening?

Actually, if you want just to unlink your Nands you can boot your 3ds into your REAL sysNand and from here enter into settings. Press general settings and then TAKE OUT YOUR SD. Now press right a couple of time and press FORMAT. At the end of the process your NANDs will be unlinked but you'll lost everything you already have installed on it (i mean the sysNand, your emuNand will be untouched).

Do you even have an emuNAND?

Edit: I meant, do you have one set up yet?

Why not just use the Reinand mod? Easier to setup and use then rxtools.

oh silly . . . you cant boot rxtools when rxtools is running you need to power down and start again . . . when you get to the point where you see the rxtools splash screen hold "L" (or "R" depending on the rxtools version) you will load into the rxtools menu then boot sysnand from the rxtools menu

Splash screen, as in red for the touch screen? My version is the latest one, so I press R, right?

An alternative to power down completely your 3ds is to enter-exit from your settings and then re-launch rxTools.

"R" is for really old versions of rxtools

Do I need to click L really fast? It's there for like 1 second and then boots right into Emunand:glare:
    Edit:Finally done it:)

as soon as you see the screen hold "L"

also if your sd card speed is fast you may need to hold "L" a little before even the screen appears
(i have this problem so i set my menuhax button to down so i can hold either shoulder button from the time i power on so i never miss the chance to interrupt the autoboot)

Ok, so after unlinking my nands, I don't have the 0 KB .txt files that say "x is sysnand" or "y is emunand"(Just an example) Was something done wrong?
