Hi everyone. I was able to run rxtools and install emunand and unlink etc.. Was able to run emunand > system (rx4.4) > update > successful > reboot > then when i try to load emunand again from rxtools, its all black. Please help.

Do you have "firmware.bin" & "slot0x25KeyX.bin" in your 3DS SD Card slot? If they are not, when if your emuNAND is updated it won't load.

What shows on the lower screen?
How many times have you tried?
Do you have the required files on sd?
What sd card are you using?

Yes sir before I updated the emunAnd rx4.4 booted in rxtools I have my sl0t and firmware.bin in sdcard

The only thing I could think of is that your slot0x25KeyX.bin and/or firmware.bin are the wrong files.......

How did you get them?

Do you have another sd to try?

I have two, the original toshiba 4g and a cheap officeone 16g.

Both are class 4, needless to say the 3ds is only rated at class 6 and the new 3ds class 10, non do uhs so don't fork out for a class 10 uhs 3 unless you are using it on other devices.

The toshiba never fails to boot. The officeone varies.

Sometimes the lower screen sticks on the flicker before the 'hold r' prompt or anything for that matter on the top screen. It just freezes with a pixulated lower and black top.

Other time both screens blackout and freeze after the lower screen says loading xxxxx.dat.

Other times i get the top screen 'hold r' prompt but both black out soon after regardless if i press r or not. Just tried it then and i average 1 out of 5 successful boot.

Both have the same files and the original never fails.

I don't know of thats your issue, just throwing it out there in case. I hope you sort it out....

Darn, then I have no idea.... The only idea I can suggest is.... Backup that emuNAND and then create a new one.

I actually have the same issue, I have the slotkey.bin on my sd card root and I'm using the nightly build. the latest. Also tried it with 3.0 and 2.6. Always black screen after updating...

For some reason it finally booted for me after redownloading slotkey and since I'm using the nightlies latest version, the firm.bin was placed on the sys folder then I copied that and added it on the root of the sd. it finally booted...
