RUMOR- Resident Evil Dark Side Chronicles unveiled

A few days ago, I posted a rumor of a new Wii RE game. Now, Famitsu has unveiled what appears to be a new game subtitled Dark Side Chronicles. It was in the index and appears to have a story on one of the pages:

This might be a sequel to Umbrella Chronicles, but maybe not. Hopefully some more scans will be posted later. I'll update when they are. Not much info to go on at the moment, so I'm sorry.

didn't really like the first chronicles but i will still get this one if it comes out.hope this is a wii title.

It's not a rumor.. it is on latest Famitsu.. but sadly there are no images or info about the game yet, just the name.

Based on the "Chronicles" in the name.. it should be a sequel to Umbrella Chronicles or something..

i think i know what Resident Evil Dark Side Chronicles is in my first post i gave a link to gamespot showing that capcom is going to announce Resident Evil Code Veronica for the wii march 12 but what if that is what Resident Evil Dark Side chronicles is or it can just be a different version of Resident Evil 5 but how the first chronicles game was just point and shoot of coarse the graphics will be downgraded.

what ever it turns out to be i hope it is a wii title and not a ds title.if it ends up being a ds game it might just be the first chronicles game that was on the wii on the ds.

even though i say downgraded version of RE5 it maybe to early for that because chronicles usually means before so i can just think of it being Resident Evil Code Veronica or Resident Evil 4 or maybe both.

It looks like it's going to be a Wii title. It's really hard to make out in the picture, but it also looks like the game title appears under the heading "Wii".

perhaps a remake of resident evil 2? or umbrella chronicles 2 revolving around resident evil 2 because the one picture shows leon in his resident evil 2 outfit and claire.

I said it wont be a remake of RE2 or sequel to Code Veronica. I wish it was a sequel to Code Veronica, we need a proper RE game.

Still I did enjoy the last game, not sure if I liked how its suppose to be easier than UC. It has to be really special to go up against HOTD: Overkill & Dead Space.

- as expected, much of the game’s focus is Resident Evil 2
- control Leon and Claire
- Resident Evil: Code Veronica/4 locations hinted at
- lots of new camera work akin to Resident Evil 5
- if you play single player, your partner will be visible on-screen
- if you play multiplayer, your partner will not be visible on-screen
- difficulty is automatically adjusted as you play
- game is 35% complete

Essentially, this is the part that they didn't include in Umbrella Chronicles at the last moment. I believe UC was supposed to cover 2, 4 and CV at first as well.

i think it is a on rail shooter but i don't think they said that yet.but from what i read on ign earlier when the server was down here and now from here this game sounds like it is going to be better than RE UC.
anyway it would be nice if you get to control where the character can move though.

News I got confirmed it was an on-rails shooter...which was pretty evident already. Yippie...what the Wii needs more of. Cop-out casual games in core-game clothing. I think to wish or expect more is futile at this point. The Wii is what it is.
