RUMOR- new SaGa game coming?

Take this with a grain of salt everyone. A new Square Enix teaser site was released a day ago-

As you will notice there is a countdown. At any rate, we should know just WHAT Square Enix is teasing in just a little over a week (about 9 days or July 4th from what I gather). Or perhaps that large 4 is not just for the day it will be announced, but also the number in a series, SaGa 4...

That teaser alone would amount to nothing in regards to SaGa had it not been for the fact that designer Tomomi Kobayashi recently announced that he is collaborating with Square Enix on a new project. His previous work is involved with the entire SaGa series and people are speculating that the site and his sudden announcement are connected. A "SaGa 4" as people seem to say. I've not played much of the series myself (yet) so I can't really say what number in the series is.

We'll see. Any ideas on what this could mean?

If I remember correctly, there were only 3 real games to the SaGa series. So this (would) make it the true sequel correct?

I loved that game when I was a little kid... Well, I hope they'll remake that one too if the 2 sells well

i always thought the previous sagas were boring or more complex and not fun so maybe this will prove me wrong
a countdown that far away is like a baby counting his time to graduate as an MD

Thanks for that elixirdream, really clears the series up for a SaGa n00b like myself!

I've played a tiny bit of the GB games, looking forward to the DS remake (and have purposefully not played the GB SaGa 2 just to not spoil myself so it will be fresh). I have been playing a fan translated Romancing SaGa 3 on Super NES and am so far really liking it! Just beginning to get into the series.

(PS- sorry for not being on IRC. I know you live half a world away from me, but I usually sleep during my timezone's day and stay up all night. That's why you see me all the time. I've actually had normal sleep hours lately for my time zone. Don't worry, they'll be all mixed up again soon likely!

There is an update to the site. Now it shows a picture of a dragon. So now I'm not sure if its SaGa anymore cause...all SE RPGs have Dragons somehow..

just hope is SAGA.. because that website was launch during the 20th anniversary
and many others also speculate is SAGA

who knows it could be a total new RPG? how legend of mana4? do we have that?
