Hacking rom trimming question

are there any problems with trimming roms? i think i heard something about that making download play not work right.

are there any particular roms that wont work when they are trimmed?

i am using rominator (i think the newest version)

trimming excess data which is not needed to make a rom smaller.

some trimmers cause trouble like shaving off download play wi fi play but I think rominator is safe
I don't trim cause ds games are small enough

yeah, but sometimes you can knock off like 60MB off 1 game, and thats a big gain

so basically, if it doesnt have wifi or download play, it should be safe to trim?

anyone else know of any cons?
