Hello,

I downloaded a few of the demo 3DS roms and booted into them with my red Gateway card. Those load fine. I then booted into Gateway and did a ROM dump from my Zelda: ALBW cart and took that 3DS file and transferred it to the micro SD in the red cart.

When I boot into emunand, I hit select and then select the Zelda game. It starts to load. I get the fairy loading icon in the lower right corner of the screen. It just sits there forever and never actually goes further.

I am using a N3DS on sysnand 9.0. My emunand is running 9.0 as well.

Any ideas why I can't get my ROM backup to load?

Did you also make a Savedata DUMP of the retail ZLBW cart?

Try doing that and restoring the savedata once in GW.

Did you change the ZLBW ROM to .3dz from .3ds?

Hi. I did not do a save data dump because I was wanting to try starting fresh to see if it would even load and then I would try to get my save working. I will try doing that.

I did not rename it from 3ds to 3dz. I didn't realize I needed to do that? The demo ROMs had the 3ds extension. What's the difference between the two?

Thanks for the help!

To make it .3dz just rename the extension of the .3ds>.3dz

Try dumping your savedata first. That should do the trick.

You don't NEED to do that, but it works...

Go to GW menu and dump your savedata. Then restore that dump to the red cart.

I renamed to 3DZ and it seems to load.

I also booted into Gateway menu, dumped the save data with the Zelda cart in. Then I popped the Gateway red card with microSD and when I try to restore the data, I get an error "FFFFFFF". The Zelda game now loads, but my save data isn't there.

Any ideas?
