Hacking Ripping PS3 games

I want to rip FF13 which is maybe around 40GB, is it any different than ripping PS2 games? I.e., stuff disc in BD drive, open ImgBurn, click a few buttons. Or do I have to jump through a thousand hoops? I think I recall reading some ridiculous tutorial that had like 20 steps, here's hoping things have changed

1. Open manager on jailbreaked ps3
2. put your disk in the ps3
3. press button to backup
4. x to confirm
