Having just found a way to acquire the Nostalgia Critic's 'Big Lipped Alligator Moment' sound effect, I have of course set it as my text message tone. And I got thinking. Presumably most of you have cell phones since they're more common than pidgeon turd in central london, what are your ring tones set as? Do you stick to the defaults or like me do you go for the custom setup? Here's mine.

- Text messages get the 'big lipped alligator moment' sound. It used to be this but I had to change it following an incident at Customs... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htzlhTvIQo4...feature=related
- Most calls generate the Hymn of the Fayth from FFX.
- Calls from my sweetheart (well, not technically my girlfriend but she may as well be) set off the song 'Eternity:Memory of Lightwaves' from FFX2. Texts from her set off the victory tone from Kirby. I'm trying to get my phone to allow video displays for texts so I can have a little Kirby dance on the screen.
- Calls from sweetheart's older brother set off' Ready to Roll' by Jet Black Stare. Although I may change it to something along the lines of 'lend me some money'. That way the ringtone does all the work for him.
- Calls from work (back when I still worked at the Ricoh, I've just not changed the settings since I quit) set off Nightwish's End of All Hope, since that's the feeling I got from working at that dead end death trap,
- My ex keeps getting hold of my number so any calls I get from her trigger this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l3zrqMJmN20
- Anything from my older brother makes my phone imitate the Tardis and the logo for our hometown football team, Reading FC, appears on the screen.

Anyone else got any strange setups for their phone?

My sms ringtone is the msn new message tone

And my calling ringtone is super mario 64 theme

I have SMT III: Nocturne's Title Loop 1 as my SMS tone then Crawl by Veltpunch as my ringtone. I like the former because it's simply badass and doesn't shock me when someone mails me while I'm asleep and the latter's opening portion got stuck to me after playing too much Guitar Freaks and Drum Mania. No one ever calls though.

It depends on the 'Profile' that I use (gotta use 'Loud' in work & 'general' elsewhere)

(Actually I took the soundtrack from this & Cropped/cut it to make it over 1min long)
Loud Profile (Ringtone): Here
Loud Profile (Text Msg): Here

Silent Profile: Here

Because some people usually hate loud ringtones, I made this my ringtone.

Even at "Low" volume it's loud. I love when it rings and it's quiet around.
awesome.

My ringtone has always been an instrumental of Gangsta's Paradise (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0rgPKPSZ62A)

Since this thread when I get a text it's the power rangers watch tone

a lot of ppl like using MGS codec sound tho

You know, I feel like a change. But I'm not sure what to swap over to. Here's the short list of songs and sound effects I've narrowed it down to so far, help me choose.

Main ringtone

- The opening to Tales of Symphonia on the 'cube. In case you never played, A) this is how it sounds

And B) Go play it right now, it's awesome.

- Link's theme music from Zelda. More specifically, the version from Soul Calibur 2.
- We Are The Fire by Trivium
- Keep it as is with The Sending from FFX
- Maybe the 'Cornered!' music from Phoenix Wright.

Text Tone
- This clip from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

- This one from Clerks, just without it saying 'preview' at the end http://www.audiosparx.com/sa/archive/Comed...king-lot/167865
- ADA from Zone of the Enders 2nd Runner saying 'Enemy approaching'.
- Keep it as either 'Big Lipped Alligator Moment' or 'Chuck Norris!' from Nostalgia Critic
- This from...whatever it's from.
