no starfall region free never worked for backups only originals on ntsc anyway, pal is another matter. rebooter made the backups work region free....
preloader breaks rebooter because the system menu is named a different file, so it attempts to patch freeloader and crashes

but this is only a problem for ntsc users, pal will load ntsc backups fine? thats kinda weird.

noob it won't work with preloader. we are aiming for straight from boot region free channel loading. modchip without the chip (yes i know excluding 3x read speed and gc games) on a side note rebooter is what makes the region free backups work, not starfall. and clarky if were giving out 31 meg rars, can we get a server that goes faster than 80k? Max download speed for me is 2.5MB a sec so i know its not me

the region free on a NTSC console i cannot be sure on but in theory if should work, however in practive, and as i fink it was Jizmo was talkin about the other day...NTSC consoles our designed to handle 1 type of output and one type of TV if you like.

where as PAL console has to deal with all kinds of outputs, scans, refresh rates yadda yadda...

can someone witha NTSC test this for us...i need a definitive answer, i know the rest of the pack is 100%, its simply the NTSC region free i cant confirm

ok the cios wads scare me 12-22 pack down to 1157bytes to 1172 bytes while the rest are 1.6-1.8 megs just compressed a copy of the .wads i have for those corpios's and they pack down to 1.6-1.8 megs as well.... i think something is wrong with the ones in the collection

31 seems the most dangerous step,....if you get any errors there, your best bet is to:

-wait until it finishes and Completely power down Wii
-Power on and quickly push and hold RESET
-boot to HBC and run cioscorp again
or if HBC wont load (heaven forbid), get back to preloader
-put the dol from the cIOScorp folder into the SD root,
and boot it using the "load/install DOL" command in preloader.

By the way, im installing now, but i left out the cios install step since i already have it installed, and am sketchy on aforementioned wads.

about the same but im used to getting that much data in about 30-45 seconds..
i think this version of anyregion changer may have been the solution, it has the twiizers code for region free built into.
ill post for sure as soon as i put preloader back on and reboot the test subject

the wads compress that well bc those you mentioned are identical and rar is a nice compression format....I just tried compressing cioscorp files in rar and got the same result, but yes if you already have cioscorp you do not need a new install it seems.

PS: if you ran the IOS downgrader though, you probably will need a new CIOSCORP install, cuz i heard thats how you uninstall it.

mine must each be slightly different then because even on the highest level of compression they all come out slightly different 1.6-1.8 meg compressed sizes. weird.

I think there is as good a possiblity it will work for you as any of the other methods have had. We're all sitting here waiting with baited breath.
