looks awesome. too bad its just button presses. the gba one was never as fun as the ds one.
Haha, funny enough, for me, it was other way around. I felt like GBA one really had that "something" some special appeal, while DS one was great and fun, but lacked....that....."something", not sure what actually.

This looks addicting as hell. Wish they'd make a new Osu too though :D
Yeah, another Osu/EBA would be awesome..I really like rythm games so much!

might of been the content, but gameplay wise, the ds was way more immersive. the simple tap, hold, flick, rub actions really connected with the music as opposed to A, A, A, A.

Yeah, I do agree, no doubt about that!
You could say that GBA compared to NDS was kinda dull and repetitive, but I enjoyed it more! :D

I would probably be more excited about this if the game didnt harshly penalize the slightest mistake

DAISUKE!
I'm not gonna mind playing this all over again... even though I'm almost done getting perfect medals on all the games. xD

Many of these games 'play' exactly like the some games on the DS, take the badminton rally -> just like the ping pong game on the DS. And the one with the candies in the box -> like the monk eating dumplings..
Kinda makes me not really feel motivated to play this one.

I can't help but wonder: Why do some people like these games? It looks so awfully simple. Might be because I am a percussionist tough. But I don't like the art style of these kind of games either. I mean, what's the point in sitting on a bench with a girl watching monkeys and kicking soccer-balls and footballs?

I am not trying to be mean or anything. I love that people have different points of view. Wich is exactly why I'm curious: why do you like these kind of games?
you're looking at it wrong. however the devs portrayed the mini games, at its heart is the rhythm. as long as you get that aspect, the display might as well be anything. and since it might as well be anything, it might as well be whimsical and non-logical and wacky BUT fun.

seriously, not everything has to make sense.

Just thought I'd say this here, I just noticed a pre retail release on a torrent site, go do some searching, I ain't posing any links here ;)

Thanks for the info, but I think I'll wait a few days since I preordered it from Amazon anyway. After playing the JP version I was ready to pay $50, but to my surprise it's only $30, the cost of a DS game. :D
Some things bug me though in the English version (obviously) after getting used to the JP version. I think I'll replace the sound/music with the JP version's, so I can have an officially translated -but still good sounding- RH. Unless somebody else does it first, and releases a little patch. ;)
