Because they're located somewhere in Asia. RealHotStuff is located in New Jersey, but it ships to anywhere in the U.S. very fast regardless of which method you choose.

DX only takes between 7 to 14 days to deliver to the UK depending on the Honk Kong post, and once the item has left Hong Kong it never takes more than 4 days before its delivered.
The postal service in the US must be really crap.

1) the UK is closer to asia
2) the UK is very small compared to the US

thus faster shipping times would be the result of these

I dont know where you live Demon but i live in Iowa and i have ordered from DX three times and the longest i have had to wait is 2 weeks. My dstt got here in a week flat.

RHS is the best. Never had a problem with them. Very fast shipping. I order Acekard 2 wednesday night got it monday. They have good customer support. If you live in the US, its the best choice.

RHS. has fast shipping and moderately good prices
DX is as cheap as hell but ive heard mixed reviews from them. shipments never being sent out or like swapped items, and just a really long wait time.
