Yes, in GX too you can save it, you don't need to change it every time. I didn't explain well, sorry

What I said was that the users have to go to the game settings to change the loading dol.
For metroid prime for example there are different dols to reboot into different games, so users have to go to the setting each time than wanted to boot another game from the trilogy. So we made a prompt when launching the game for users with unchanged settings. As default option it's now showing the prompt only if the used IOS is not d2x v6 beta1+.

Thanks for your comment about GX

I pass a lot of time to debug it, but yeah there are still few things which need fixes.

Kinda going to hijack this thread here, but I have a question about rev 17 vs d2x v6. A very few apps that I have just refuse to work with anything past rev 17, even if the base used is 38 (such as Waninkoko's WAD creator, and yes I know about bluedump, that was just an example). I was wondering if there is any solution to this, and/or why it is happening?

We are the one who hijacked it with the alt dols.

I don't know the real problem, but wad managers were updated to work with cIOS rev18+
There might be something different in newer cIOS, I think it's not only the base.

I don't know a lot about the IOS internals, maybe Davebaol can answer it.
I'm also curious to know what's different.

That's why I'm keeping rev17 installed, it could always be useful

I did some digging into this a while back, but this was a while ago and I probably have a false memory of it now. From what I remember I believe it has to do with the old Signing Bug (Trucha) code that existed in the old IOS (and was patched back into the newer base code when installed as cIOS). The newer WAD managers no longer use the same method/code to sign content so the old Signing Bug code is no longer important. Again, this might be false as I'm completely fogged over what I initially dug up; I should really write this stuff down and save it...

EDIT: Anybody still have the source code for WAD Manger v1.5 & the unreleased v1.6 where the changes were made?
