I wanted to follow this video guide on how to install several emulators on switch (Linux) But since video guides aren't always correct, I was wondering if there was an actual official guide on how to install these emulators on switch's Linux rather then a video.

There's unsupported emulators like Dolphin and I don't think performance is an issue on the huge swathe of 2D systems, some which don't have Horizon support. Its basically PPSSPP/Flycast/Mupen64 where performance might be an issue. Plus some people might like the snazzy frontends that we lack on Horizon.

I havent test Linux my self but others on here have stated that retroarch on hos runs better than on Linux. So I'm just trying to understand why on Linux vs Hos?

emulation in general is better on ubuntu/android/lakka than it is on HOS.
Other than citra, not much really runs better on horizon with the exception of a few ports. You also dont generally use retroarch in ubuntu, you go for standalone emulators if you want better performance.
