It works too yeah, but you would have conflict when using the online updater, I don't know, I only use no-intro sets for most of the cores and they have this naming convention too, so I stick to it :P
What part of the online updater are you mentioning specifically?

Sooo... getting out of Retroarch while playing Starfox on the Snes9x core with the SFX chip overclocked to 60 Mhz gave me a error earlier.

I can't reproduce it. Maybe something occasional? unstability?

Thumbnails updater
Oh that one.
That updater in particular is really problematic, mainly because it searches for a very specific ROM name, and I don't like having anything other than the game's name in the filename. Without (NoIntro) nor (U) or anything else.

I would suggest also doing the thumbnails manually.
Besides, by doing them manually you can add your own boxart, titlescreen, cover, etc.
More so if you have hacked ROMs, good luck with those.

How to do you that though?
The Xbox One has a HDMI IN Port (I thought it was just for connecting a Cable box or Satellite box, but it turns out you can connect ANYTHING that has HDMI :)
and to capture the Screen you can do that through the Xbox App on Win10 :)

I thought about getting an Elgato device, but that would require me to be near my TV when I use my Omen 25 as a gaming monitor for the Wii U, capturing with it would be impossible. Oh well >.>
I dont know how much those Capture devices are but you would probably get a better deal just buying a Xbox (games and capture card in one) :P

That is pretty cool, but the Elgato is only 120 dollars or so, cheaper than an Xbox one :P

The FUCK.
That easy huh?
Well damn haha, now I wish I had one to record anything gaming related :)
Btw can you also record anything in the Xbox One with the app?
For example let's say you install Retrix on it, can you record that as well?

Yeah that's what I been doing, Recorded alot of Retrix stuff over the last couple weeks so far, I just thought the capture was limited to Xbox One :) This is awesome :)

Fair enough, though updater uses thumbnails from RA repository and I can't complain about them really, correct aspect ratio, nice compression (indexed color) without loosing quality, and automatically download everything and you forget about it (about 1000 or so roms in total in my case so yeah...). Not a fan of boxart really as there are many missing other are in bad shape etc... (ocd here xD), for romhacks yeah you have to do it manually.

Unfortunately, I don't have Windows 10 for various reasons, and I don't feel comfortable using it yet. The second issue, is space, I have my Wii U in my bedroom/PC room, so there'd be no room, and the downstairs TV is already cluttered with a Wii, PS3, PS4, etc, lots of wires/cables, it's a mess. The Elgato is compact, but given that I only have a monitor and not a TV next to this, that too would be impossible to capture video on unless I used a laptop next to the monitor, IDK. I've wanted to capture Wii U for years, who knows for sure.

Wish the Wii U had native capture abilities.

Blame that on Nintendo, since they refuse to get with the times for some reason.
Otherwise they would reign supreme xD

Fair enough indeed XD

Might be because overclocking the chip requires more CPU power and the Wii U can't handle it?
