Does exFAT still have issues with Retroarch?

Yes, it does. I've been using {and will continue} exFAT since the middle of last year, tried Retroarch over a month ago and instant corruption. Find or see if m4xw will give you RetroNX... only thing is some PS1 games are full speed and no N64.

The fault is in Nintendo’s exFAT driver. That’s why other homebrew such as UAE4All, Xash3D, Doom 3 etc. also have issues and both Atmosphere and ReiNX recommend FAT32 instead.

thanks you so much for your help guys. i dont have framerate setting or frame duplicating. i noticed your on version 1 and im on version 2.5 i guess thats why a few settings maybe different? (edit) just realised the setting show different depending on the game you play?

There are two N64 cores - 2.5 is mupen64 plus. Mupen64plus-Next is version 1.0.

Correction: Happens since forever.
In fact we had to deal with this issue since the very beginning of RetroNX

All games seem to be running great for me, although there's this 1 pretty big problem I've found, inside a game I can't bring up any options menus / settings menus and the only way I can exit is by pressing home button

Is there something I'm missing ? Which button/s should I be using to bring up in game options ?

Using sxos 6.2, loading via the NSP for RetroArch

Hold plus and minus buttons.
This can be changed in settings - input - menu toggle Gamepad combo.
Can also use a hotkey in the same settings page - hotkey binds - menu toggle.

Hi and thanks for replying, I did already try this but nothing - I shall load it back up and try again :)

If you want to continue to live the lie of ExFAT being perfectly stable except for this convenient little bit of homebrew, be my guest. Don't be surprised when we can't even help you, though.
And what do you think giving people objectively outdated and worse binaries would help ANYTHING?
Use FAT please. This has been said by EVERY homebrew dev and there's no reason to be so damn stubborn about it. Please don't make our collective work needlessly more difficult.

But if you don't use Nintendo exFAT format then how do you store your eShop games?

Sorted

It's because I used the pre configured files of Jason L he had used a different combo, not set it to Start and select and all is good...

Appreciate you helping me out with this thank you :)

i'm trying to play goldeneye/perfect dark with the 2-controller control scheme. i can't figure out how to map player 1 (R) joystick to player 2 joystick. any ideas?

Is there a way to remove the stutter that happens every so often with mGBA? Dunno if anyone else is experiencing it, but I am with Final Fantasy 5 Advance when moving/scrolling along the maps. Then again, it could just be the game itself.
retro arch mgba or the stand alone version?

So whenever RetroArch starts up my joycons stop working so I can't navigate the menu...any Idea what I messed up??????
