Retroarch freezes on launch

Hi, whenever I click on the icon that launches Retroarch, the window appears, but it then refuses to respond for more than 5 minutes. Does anyone know what might be going on?

Either you have a Windows 3.1 era PC, or you need to re-download RetroArch.

Turns out it had something to do with my PS1 emulator, bc it started working again after I decided to download the bios files I still needed, idk what happened, but it’s fixed now ig
