When I load up RetroArch my background is blue. The dynamic wallpaper doesn't kick in unless I move to the next icon. I have wallpapers set to all the icons including Main Menu. Is that normal or is there a way to have the Main Menu Icon wall paper load on startup of RetroArch?

Assuming you're in the xmb theme: You may need to turn off "menu shader ribbon" or whatever, as well as name a file BG.png or bg.png - there's probably a base file in the assets/xmb folder somewhere if you want to check the filename. Main Menu.png might be called by retroarch, but I'm not sure - other files like Settings.png will let you have a custom background on settings etc.
