Restoring lost save file

Hello everyone,

My friend lost access to his account and he had to make new one, including you email adress and new profile. After that, although he did nkt factory reser his console he lost all his save files.

Is there any way to restore them? Console is modded and has access to Atmosphere.

Save games are managed per profile so if you make a new profile, all the previous save games are still linked to the old profile.

If the profile exists on the Switch then you could try to use JKSV.
As shown the video below, you can select the profile where you want to make a backup of the save games from.

This video is about transferring backups to another console so in your case you can probably select the new profile and restore/import the backup in the new profile/

If the old profile does not show up, then probably the profile was deleted.
I don't know if Nintendo keeps around the old save games if you delete a profile.
If you make a NAND backup wit Hekate, you should be able to mount it on a PC with a tool called hacmountdisk.
Profile stuff is stored on the User partition and each save game is stored in a folder with the game ID inside a folder called 'Games'.
