Hello guys.
I just had a few quick questions before I did something and possibly made a mistake. I have a backup of my switch firmware on 5.1.0 before I installed any NSPs or ran any homebrew. I have the separate pieced nand.bin files, as well as the combined rawnand.bin file and boot0/boot1.bin files. The Switch had been offline for several months before I made the backup, and has never connected to the internet since doing anything CFW related. The current NAND version is 9.2.0 after updating using ChoiDujourNX. My question is, if I wanted to set up a clean NAND and then an emuNAND, would I have to:
1) make a backup of my current NAND with installed NSPs
2) create an emuNAND partition on my SD card
3) somehow store the current backed up NAND to this new partition (I assume using a similar method to restoring the clean NAND but instead choosing an emuNAND option)
3) copy the current Nintendo folder on my SD card to where the emuNAND will be reading from
4) restore clean NAND
5) update to the latest software for online play on newly restored clean NAND
In the way that I view it in my head is that I don't have to reinstall any NSPs to the new emuNAND if I'm fully restoring the current NAND backup and then transferring the Nintendo folder. But I just wanted to confirm all of these steps/if my thinking is correct. One of the issues that I envisioned was that I originally had a Nintendo Account linked to my account before I decided to remove any WiFi connections entirely before using CFW. Would I encounter any issues with this? Another thing is that I have autoRCM enabled. I currently can't find my jig so I would prefer to keep this enabled. I know that I won't be able to boot without having a way to inject a payload then for either of the NANDs. I assume it would be better if I was to not have autoRCM setup to greater avoid detection of a ban, but I haven't heard of any reports of people being detected for this. If there's anything that I am missing or issues that you may see, please let me know.
