I would like to transfer my savegames to the Nintendo Switch 2. However, after the system transfer, the Nintendo Switch will get a factory reset automatically.

Can I just make a sysNAND backup before the system transfer and then restore this backup? Can I get banned, when I play online with the restored Nintendo Switch or upload saves to the Online cloud from that restored system?

Only the cloud-based transfer wipes the entire system. If you do the local transfer method the only thing that gets removed from the original console are the saves for those few games that don't support cloud saves. Those saves just get moved over to the Switch 2.

@RyanTheArchivist Ah, that would be nice. I think you mean savegames like Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, which dont support cloud saves.
However, are you sure, that my Pokemon Scarlet save will be transfered to the Nintendo Switch 2? I would have guessed, that this savegame will not be transfered.

They directly stated this on their site yes.
