This is a weird request, but can anyone port Street fighter II on old 3ds?
HBL+BlargSNES+SF2 Rom= Profit
According to Wikipedia, it's already been ported to snes, which you can emulate on the 3ds.
(Although you won't get 60 fps on o3ds, probably.)
Which version of sf2 and which port of sf2?
MyLegGuy Snes version of sf2 = shit
cvskid the original/arcade version
Arcade sf2 runs awful on o3ds i'm afraid. You said original sf2 which is world warrior and world warrior only came out on snes aside from the arcade version so that is your best bet. Either that or if you do not mind championship edition/new challengers you can use picodrive for the sega genesis version of the game or hyper fighting/new challengers for snes blargsnes.
I'll try to use genesis version. It sucks how I have to use a shity console port.
If you have another handheld like a psp arcade versions of sf2 run fine on it if you have one.
my psp died years ago
Edit: and how the hell did they port quake to the 3ds?
Quake is open source.
"Shitty console Port"
"Street Fighter 2"
I think the snes version is almost equally great as the arcade. You won't miss much. Sf2 on BlargSNES is great for old3ds.
Closed source games can't be "ported", they have to be remade. There is no open source Street fighter remake, BUT there is are open source fighting game engines, like paintown, that can be ported to the 3DS.
Kind of related: Here is a list of game clones and remakes that could possibly be ported to the 3DS - http://osgameclones.com/
Just checked out painttown, that is interesting.
Paintown is a very flexible engine, you can create Mugen like games and also 1v1 (Street fighter like) games.
Check this video:
Stuff like this is nice. Might be possible on n3ds. Good that there is open source projects like that around.
With my experience in 3DS homebrew, this should work nicely on O3DS.
CPS1 retroarch work ?
oh god I went to get food and I got a lot of replies
hug0-a7x I couldn't find a good rom so I cant confirm it
SLiV3R BlargSNES wont load for me
Depends on how well optimized it is, which would depend on the potential coder.
Honestly, how much has been figured out on the 3DS's wireless multiplayer front? Porting something like this would be kind of pointless if you can't play against someone, at least from my understanding of why people like fighting games (not really my thing).
