It doesn't, splitting up the already slow forum into smaller subforums does.

I would differentiate between the vWii and Wii U scenes, not sure about other people. They aren't really the same thing.

Those members that created those threads about Wii U hacking and were actually talking about the vWii just didn't know any better, they mislabeled their thread. Creating a new section will not stop posts like that. My thought are it will just create more work for the mods having to move threads to the correct section.

I voted yes anyways. There is probably more than enough posts to make either section look active, and I also think that they should both have their own section just so the Wii U side of the hacking don't have to wade thru tons of vWii posts.

I figured most vWii modding/homebrew would just fall under Wii homebrew. Kind of like running DS homebrew on the 3DS or PSP homebrew on the Vita. There are some small differences, like cIOSs and stuff like that, but I'd think it would still fit. That said, I don't use a Wii U for Wii homebrew, just a Wii, so my opinion doesn't count for much.

got to agree, i like to check if there is anything new every now and then, and for all we know there may of been a full blown hack released months ago but nobody seen it with all the vwii stuff .....as much as i understand the reservations of doing so with there not being much atm except "look what you might be able to do soon™".....but it would be good to preemptively split it and hope that someone eventually does decide to release something.......but in the meantime at least it would be easier to follow stuff as it happens rather than having to dig through vwii threads to find anything that actually relates to actual wii u hacks/mods

With all the content in this forum it has started to become an overgrown yard. Like all overgrown yards the thought of mowing it and getting it back into decent shape totally sucks all life out of your being. However once you do mow the lawn and everything is all nice and neat again you always feel a lot better. Maybe it is time to mow the lawn... and yes, I have to do yard work today

I think the vWii & Wii U need split ASAP, and... I think there should be a sub forum in each for Developer stuff - with devs as mods, so all the silly questions stay in the regular forum, and anything not pertaining to development can be kept neat. Hate sorting through pages of nothing to find the nuggets of info. EVen make posting in dev space permission/level based. Shouldn't be too hard to do.
