As the title says would it be possible to create a HTML5 compatible browser for the old 3ds? or something to watch youtube at better quality

Porting an HTML5 compliant browser is not an easy task, with full video support is even harder. The best you can hope for is a video player with network capabilities.

I think an specialized youtube app using the developer API would maybe possible, but a port of a full fledged html5 compatible engine like Gecko or Webkit is very unrealistic(maybe a port of an very light weight browser engine is possible)
