I think it would cool if you could edit amiibo data like amount of equipment they are carrying and etc. Would this be possible?

I know skylanders has a hack which involves plugging the portal into a PC and using a program to edit the data, but I don't believe there's a way to interface the Amiibo's over usb... The most likely way is to reverse engineer the signals from the IR Amiibo reader for the o3DS and make a program for a microcontroller to replicate and modify those signals.

You can edit amiibo equipment, as well as backup and load them with this:

The only flaw I know of is that it must be connected to the internet to retrieve codes.
