Hacking Remove hardware mod from Wii

Hey guys. I bought a Wii which can play DVD’s with a burned copy of a game. I’ve been told it was done with a hardware mod called d2pro.
I would like to remove it and do the soft mod. any suggestions on how to start doing this?

you can softmod a hard modded wii for max compatibility

You can remove allof d2pro wires (or in some cases a flex pcb connecting to your wii, but to what end?
The chip's done the damage it'll do, and all softmods are still gonna work.
