Dang they cheated :/

xD I've done same thing as smea's homebrew menu (Note that the wifi "icon" is blended with LUA code and not with a loadImage):
wifi_status.bmp

But i'm getting problems with ACU_GetWifiStatus. It seems to not change when i disable WiFi :/
EDIT: Solved with a patch to my LUA function.

Rinnegatamante: i was woundering, in your next release, is it possible to edit your index file, to change all extension from jpg to png? i've done it myself (for transparency..) and i think it would be great! and, it would be much easyer for ''themes'' to not need to include another index file for cutom themes for sunshell :P oh even better..is it possible to include both format? would be awesome!..if you dont want its okay :P but i think it would be great!
thanks!

lpp-3ds uses a slow PNG decoder (lodepng). JPG decoding is a lot faster (libjpeg).
And also alpha blending is a lot more CPU killer then normal blending. ( https://github.com/Rinnegatamante/lpp-3ds/blob/master/source/luaGraphics.cpp )

but would it be slow even if its just for icons? ..would be great if in your index all the icons's lines where compatible for png extension so i dont have to include or re-edit each time the index just to make icons appear correctly,,..cant you add the possibility to use both (for themes that have icons with transparency..)?..it would be really appreciated..

Rename your PNG files to MyFile.png to MyFile.jpg and you've done.

another useless homebrew

where is mp3-wma format support

where is h263-h264-wmv format support

this is dead born homebrew

It's obviously an useless homebrew since everyone got a smartphone these days... It's just a chance for the developer to show off. Anyway, I'd like to congratulate to the developer that has great coding skills and for the effort it's giving to it's project.

another useless comment.. funny how people are to slow to realise the difference between a new born homebrew and an already existing video/music player..
''where is mp3-wma format support

where is h263-h264-wmv format support''

....you serious??..this homebrew just got release!! its normal not to have everything in the first release! havent you ever seen any programs developpement before??..

It's obviously an useless homebrew since everyone got a smartphone these days...

one of the most unrelevent comment i've seen lol.. ..i can understand what you mean, but its not comparable, or else why not say ''why do you even buy a TV if you already have a computer monitor?'' or ''why buying McDonald when you already have food at home?''
..if you are here, i'm pretty sure its because you have a 3ds yourself..but why? dont you have a smartphone?..

..sound to me like jealous people..i might be wrong, but it really looks like it..

Mine was just a statement, as I already said, I admire the developer programming skills. It's just that I think coders effort should be leading somewhere else in the 3DS scene.
Again, I would like to praise the developer. Sorry if I seemed an asshole
EDIT: stupid autocorrect

fair enough
..and dont forget one thing, Rinnegatamante's effort are not only for Sunshell, he also made the BigRedMenu, CHMM, and more! and, even if we cant be sure right now, this Sunshell could end up being a great alternative menu! i mean with the KARL3DS project going on, well...can you imagine how usefull sunshell could become if granted full kernel access? the customisation will be infinite...but its just speculations since i dont know how far sunshell will be puched..

So Moonshell is useless for you :D
I like to see how people target an homebrew as useless only watching 2 of it's 13 features and only cause it lacks for a feature only cause we are using a still in development SDK instead of official SDK. :D

Thanks for your words but comparing 3DS developing to Smartphone developing is so bad. Smartphones are thought to bring third parties applications and you can use official SDKs (like Android SDK) to make apps.
On 3DS we are using an homemade RE SDK (libctru) which is far to be complete (like PSPSDK for PSP is).

You can always try to implement it yourself, that's why open-source code exists.

well...sorry for the trouble..but i can confirm you that the trouble was, apparently, on my side!:shy: ..i've changed my date and time settings and the old index works now with the calendar and time .. not sure why but my n3ds was set to 2011.. ah well atleast now we know that we ahve to set the date corectly before using it (or maybe 2011 was to low??..would be weird tho lol..) so if someone else comes and tell you ''black screen!!'' you'il know to suggest to change the time lol.. perhaps there's a limit for the dates in your index?..but i didnt see anything that would look like it..

EDIT: btw, does the icons (well not the icons but the sunshell..) support transparency?
i love your Sunshell! you'Ve done great work! :yay:
