Its unlikely. I don't know too much about gateway cards, but if it acts like a flashcard you might be able to use it as a flashcard while using luma3ds. But other then that the only chance would be if gateway supports code.bin injection.

You need to compile those files. To do that download and install devkitpro. Text inside the folder you were in run the command "make" if all goes well you should have a file named something similar to saltcode.bin. I see that you have entered the pause command is this running in a batch script?

Well, under normal circumstances that might be all you would lose, but once you are on firmware 9.2 you will not be able to play any game released after 9.5 thus you will need to set up an emunand with the latest firmware. I highly recommend that you instead backup your save files for each of your installed games using some homebrew like SDVT, then wiping your 3ds entirely. This may sound like a lot to ask, but it makes the whole process run much smoother and less chance of brick, plus you can always reinstall the game after you downgrade and restore the backup of your game saves. I would recommend this guide https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki if you are going to downgrade. You should stop after Part 3 RedNand, because I think A9LH might be too much for you at this time.

Bit of a bumer, I don't want to lose my badges(1x2 midna badge particularly) and I'm just to scared to lose my saves, half my games are purchased of the eshop so the saves are on the system. This is the only 3ds system I have, I will eventually go get a new 3ds so I can dabble in trying to shift the saves over once I stop being lazy and get a job, but for right now, all I have is a 2ds.

On second thought, whatever, why not, (I plan on going COMPLETLY all in, I want to go full access without hard modding, thats were I draw the line)could you link me to a good guide and to somewhere that would explain what these emunand things are, I'm a bit unfamiliar with them but I've dealt with cios installation and the letter bomb method of homebrew on wii so I could run isos of a portable drive(for laziness purposes), That is my past history with homebrew(figured I might as well give a sign of how new I am. Couple of questions I have though, Will this emunand thing give me the ability to get back use all the badges ive earned(even if I have to cheat them in) and if cia's are what i think they are(a way to have homebrew apps on the home menu being part of it), shouldnt I be able to have a icon/app I can open off of my home menu to go straight to the homebrew app?(hopefully meaning I don't need menuhax anymore)

For me, it's the exact opposite. Can't disable them, only the global setting in Luma config.

Aparently the EUR version for saltysd is a bit slow compared to the usa version. Id recommend installing a usa copy of the game(and update) and see if loading times are that bad. Normally loading should only be really bad right after you launch the game or access the sd card to view things like replays.
