Launch the title once and let it crash. Then open bootlog.txt from the root of your SD card. Copy the title ID and paste it into /gridlauncher/ignoredtitles.txt making sure it is separated from the list by a comma and no spaces.
What about titles it launches but I still want to hide?

Like music, camera, things like those that actually launch?

Same process :) If the title ID is in ignoredtitles.txt then it won't be added to the title menu in the launcher. It logs the title ID into bootlog.txt when you launch any title, whether it crashes on launch or not.

Oh thanks mate. I'll change it :)

Are there some other apps which show the title launcher but aren't for managing saves? If so then you're right and this heading needs to be more generic.
Not many currently, but yeah. There's also querymem and there are plans for the PCSX-ReARMed core of RetroArch to allow the user to select a target. There's no practical reason why title selection is only for saves, those are just the first things that took advantage of the feature.

I'd like to report a bug, if it's not already known: it doesn't seem to be possible to use XML files to manually select titles; instead, the launcher will just claim they're missing.

This is the XML file I'm using:
Code:
<targets selectable="false">
    <title mediatype="0">0004001000020000</title>
    <title mediatype="0">0004001000021000</title>
    <title mediatype="0">0004001000022000</title>
    <title mediatype="0">0004001000026000</title>
    <title mediatype="0">0004001000027000</title>
    <title mediatype="0">0004001000028000</title>
</targets>

This same XML file works fine with the original HB launcher.

Would you mind packaging up the files needed to launch from XML so I can drop them into the launcher for testing? I have tried to set it up but can't get it to even show in the launcher.

Sure. I took a hello world, compiled it, and included the XML I'm using. Just grab the HelloWorld from the 3DS folder.

Thanks mate. So do I put the whole folder including the 3dsx, smdh and xml onto the SD card? If I do that, won't it just boot the 3dsx?

You run it like any other homebrew, but yeah, include the xml file in the same folder as the 3dsx. Then your launcher should say the titles are missing, while the original one does not.

Thanks buddy. I've just tested it on my 9.9 N3DS and have managed to diagnose the issue. It doesn't work unless the title menu has been populated. That means that if it is still being populated, or if the preload has been disabled and you haven't opened the title menu yet, then you get the missing target error. If you enable the preload and wait for it to finish, or if you disable the preload and open the title menu once and then try the xml app, then it works.

I'll try to fix this in the next beta. Basically it just needs to check before launching an xml title whether the title menu has been loaded and if not force it to load before attempting to launch the title.

Thanks for looking into it!

You know, after all this hard work I think Mashers deserves a banana
Thanks! Avatar updated accordingly :)

Could you make the launcher show select titles to manage saves when using save_manager and savemanager too?
Which one is that? Could you post a link to the manager so I can download and test it?
