i can't get run cakesFW 202 on my new 2ds xl. i tried it with boot.firm at the root of the sd card, with the luma chainloader, with the godmode9 chainloader but nothing. it runs to the menu after boot CFW it stays in a black screen.

with my new 3ds xl and 2ds cakesFW 202 runs fine.
Did you put on the latest native_firm,twl_firm and agb_firm? Cakes won't boot without a working native_firm

Replace your boot.firm with Luma?

No, the firm files are still where they belong, my boot.firm is luma 9.0, i chainloaded cakesfw from SD:/luma/payloads and it booted the fw, but after i powered off its like it uninstalled luma, i cant get into any of the menus, and my vc injects and homebrew fail on launch with a message, redownload from the eshop or something along those lines.

Check your sd card. You should be able to boot luma from the ctrnand,if it does that means b9s should be functioning properly. If you still can't find the issue restore your nand backup.

Ok, no, I'm telling you that it erased or corrupted something, there is no way to get into gm9, luma, decrypt9, or any other firm. luma is installed on my nand, and even with the sd out, it wont boot into luma or godmode9

Then something corrupted b9s since you can't boot Luma from the ctrnand.Sounds like you are going to need to buy a flashcard for ntrboothax to fix this.

I honestly thought I would have to figure out how to compile the source code myself, thx :3

unitinfo patch from icing, in case anyone else's interested. Good for 11.4 on O3DS. Can't say about N3DS, someone else would have to check because I don't have one, but if my assumption that the offsets haven't changed since at least 10.2 was correct, then it should also work there.
