Edited the rsf file a bit to fix minor mistakes and sort the entries in a better way.

Also found out that the zero-key rom can't use the orignal rom's save even if you patch it to have the same Cartridge ID.

What version of Makerom are you using? The latest of 3DSguy that got the GW command removed?

yes

EDIT: oops guess not, it still has the gw3ds switch
It's the 'vandalized' 0.13 version

But I use the -d target anyway

Can you build for x64? I'm getting a memory error with x86 build which appears to come from a malloc which would imply it's a memory limitation. I'd try to build myself, but I've had trouble getting MinGW setup and Cygwin has issues of it's own. XD Actually, what environment do you have setup to build?

Has anyone successfully rebuilt a modified romfs of Pokemon using Makerom? I can rebuild my unmodified Y no problem but as soon as I modify anything and try to rebuild I just get a black screen when I try to launch the game

So I tried to rebuild Monster Hunter 4 and even tho I modified the rsf correctly (I think) the game freezes at the Nintendo 3DS splashscreen after launching it.
Can somebody please verify if I forgot to "translate" some setting from the original exheader? I use the original RomFS, so the problem is either ExeFS (didn't modify it tho) or ExHeader.

rsf: http://pastebin.com/BJ965PXX
original exh flags: http://pastebin.com/ZEWkBzJY

KeyX got leaked, twice, if anyone's capable of integrating it into current tools. A certain recently banned member posted it with a few hints on how to use it properly on his site, not too hard to find.

There's a lot more you gotta do to the rom than just formatting the rsf correctly. Might be able to explain how it's done once I'm finished being "tutored".

Well, the good thing is that I finally could get the Smash rom undubbed (I hate the Spanish voice), the bad thing is that I don't know how to reencrypt the game AND at the same time get one compatible with the same save file.

Also, patches are not compatible with modified roms, so there will be no online... fuck this...

It is in my interest to hack MK7 as well, so I hope you can instruct me in this too.

From what I've been reading, It's a lot easier than most of the people here are making it out to be. Just tough to explain, I guess.

Also, cheers to that Govani guy! +1000 rep for the 7.x keys! That'll be really helpful for all the people who want to modify upcoming games and don't want to be tied down by the people who find it so difficult to share!

So I guess we are getting closer to create an automated patcher, just like the Wiimmn tools that patched a MKWii iso with custom tracks.

I want to import some 64 tracks so bad...

im pretty sure this will still need the whole XORpad stuff, afaik there is currently no way around that, this is just the raw key which is then scrambled by the 3DS in some unknown way....so the 3ds is still needed for decryption

Thanks for the input, however I moved on to the "reencrypting modified games with makerom.exe" discussion again.

Do you know how to modify the rsf for this purpose for any game?

Edit: Oh, now I understand... well, said tool would have to have the XORpad integrated, I guess (even if it is illegal).

Plus modifying the rom to actually work is different for every rom, so I'd imagine it'd be pretty tough to make an automatic tool for this type of thing.
