v2 is working fine on me o.o , but sometimes is just white screen. If re-apply ds profile exploit, it will work again ... is seems broken on somewhere o.o . both my 32 GB UHS-1 Class 10 Premium microSD card (transcend, it say 300x, last month i buy this card) and old crappy microSD with class 4 (local product, 3 years old) is working fine o.o

I don't think re-installing the exploit is needed. There's a readme in the padgen file, and it says this:
NOTE: If you get no text on screen, reboot your 3DS and try again.
 
This v2 is just unstable. They tried to fix 2/3 things but also created another issue by doing this >_> I will wait to see if they want to do anything more this time since they're talkin' in pm
 
Quick Question, what is the Format of the Pokemon X/Y models? i can't extract them as NARC, they are .bin files, but i don't know how to convert/extract them

open the bin file in a hex editor and look at the first 4 bytes. that should give you a clue on what to look for

They're essentially BCH's. Use a bch2obj converter on the first PC file, and choose which texture you want (PT) and convert with bch2png.

You should really read the pastes on my pastebin...

So far v2 has worked perfectly for me.

DARN! Dream Team uses the stupid .dat files for the 2D graphics just like the previous games in the series! I have been searching the internet for the past year, but still had no luck finding out how to view, extract, and replace the images in those files. I saw the Partners in Time graphics mods on the YouTube channel of gbatemp user Outlaw. I sent him a pm like he asked me to for explaining the problem, but here it is FIVE MONTHS LATER and he still has not given me the answer yet! Any help will be immensely appreciated! Interestingly enough, the game also has .mbst files for some of the text in addition to some of it being stored in .dat files like the previous games.

Hopefully these will help! Otherwise, the idea of customizing Mario & Luigi graphics is nothing more than a huge dream.

(Quite literally too, because the giant Luigi battles in Dream Team are the only occurances of the standard SDK graphics formats!)

No matter what I do, I can't get the darn romfs xorpad generation process to finish. Yesterday it kept hanging in there, either with the screen turning white or the counter getting stuck. Today it keeps hanging after a while, with the "Completed" counter disappearing, by which point I assume it hung and shut down the console. I've tried like 8 times already, and I tried recreating ncchinfo.bin as well. WTF?

Are you using the version 2 of the padgen?

I've had 0 issues with that one, other than having to reboot a few times occasionally before it starts working.

So, I had a problem with getting a corrupted romfs for Tomodoachi Life, even though the exefs comes out fine. I hear this may have to do with a new encryption method used on newer games or something? Also happened with Pokemon Art Academy.

yeah this doesn't have access to 7.x encryption keys
 
the problem is that 7.x crypto requires a firmware SUPERIOR to 7.x. I can implement it pretty easily, you'll just have to make it run >7.X, so glwt.
 
just wondering, gateway emunand initializes the 7.x encryption keys right?, so do they stay initialized if you enter settings and exit back into system nand.......:huh:
 
yeah its only really tomodachi life and pokemon art academy, i dont think there would be much call to have them open to modding XD....but when smash bros and the new pokemon games come out people will be disappointed XD
 
I'm mainly into doing audio research for most games. But yeah, Smash is main thing people will be upset about lol.
