I can also confirm Play-Asia's results which is bollocks IMHO.

Why the hell can't I use these $50 of Wiipoints I bought?

You can't do it with Xbox Live Marketplace points either, it shouldn't make any difference if points are of equal value but due to currency changes, tax, etc. they aren't.

Yes, it is.

And I don't know if I will be able to play Wii games from Australia on my European Wii.
I'm willing to bet you will be able to. Why? Because the Aus/NZ Wii allowed me to choose any of the PAL countries as my country, therefore I think the Aus Wii is exactly the same internally as an European one.

And besides, it's always been like that anyway.

Usually its Japan + Korea + Asian (Japanese games with English manual inserts

), then US/Canada and PAL which is like Europe + Australia... now I dunno which other one to get.

But I'm leaning on US since it's the only one you can find here in the Philippines. Hopefully the devices are interchangeable as usual since I don't want 8 sets of wii remotes.

Those were never a problem: The problem's with video cables, power adapters, and most importantly, games.
