Hacking Reflash bricked DS flashcart using 3DS?

I have a question.
Is it possible to reflash a bricked DS flashcart using a 3DS, using some exploit without another DS Lite?

what do you mean? it depends on the flash card what can't and can't be used, you can downgrade your 3ds blockcheck, you can flash your ds card only when it's still booting up on any device... only exception is supercard dstwo... this card can be upgraded whenever it's connected to a ds.

Ah ok, thanks. The flashcart doesn't boot and freezes my DS Lite on boot, you will still see the DS logo but it's all over the screen lol.
When I boot it without the flashcart, the DS Lite boots normally. When I insert the flashcart, the card won't be recognized.

that could be your ds is damaged, so you should pop it in your 3ds to check if it's recognised as being a flashcard. try a different sd card in the flashcard, sometimes they still work on pc, but the ds needs more stability then the pc to function.

Which cart is it?
If you have another DS flashcart you might be able to use it to unbrick. You'll need to do it on the DS Lite since cartridge hotswapping is a no-go on 3DS I believe.

the ds isn't bricked, might be a pin bent though (since it still starts normal when card is removed). but it could be it can't read the sd card, install latest fw and kernel of your card (wood is prefered if possible). install the files from another micro-sd card. if it's a supercard dstwo check instructions on thier website how to do a recovery (only card offering recovery mode). use original kernel or wood special designed for your card only. you can't use sw of other suppliers on your card most likely. if you can't find the f\kernal and firmware for your card, please send me a photo of your card, and i'll pm you where you can download a setup.

It's a R4i-3DS.hk card. Even without a micro SD card, the freeze happens and won't read the card.
Normal DS games still works fine.

yes without and with have same result, that's what i was afraid of, so try a new micro-sd, with the original r4i-3ds.hk sw
