Hacking redNAND/USB games use same drive as vWii?

Is it possible to use a single drive for both? One partition for loading Wii U games via redNAND, and another partition for running Wii games via USB Loader GX in vWii on sysNAND? Or will the Wii U not see partitions & only partition an entire drive? WOuld be great to use a single larger drive rather than 2 smaller ones.

Anyway. Best solution I could find. Hoping it works without y adapters as it's powered. Just power on the one you're using for vWii or redNAND.
