Homebrew Recommended GBA Emulator?

For now I would recommend gpSP, but in the future when mGBA is developed enough I would advise switching to that since it is trying to be as accurate to a real Gameboy Advance experience as possible through emulation. Currently the only problems is the aforementioned lag but once Dynarec/HW acceleration is implemented it should run a lot better.

I'll keep that in mind, I know that some of these things keep getting improved upon, so being patient is all part of the game. I'm hoping to get a lot of emulators and games running on this thing. Just trying to find the ones that work the best for the games.
I'm also currently waiting on the R4i Gold in the mail to along with this.

It's what I love best about this handheld; it's capable of running a pretty large library of games, be it official or homebrew. It's unfortunate that the limit's likely PS1/N64 but at that point that's all you could really ask of a system like this. Here's hoping the Nintendo Switch is powerful enough to run bigger, better emulation. That would be the perfect handheld.

Hey if they can get PS1 and N64 games running, nicely, on this thing I'll be super happy. Though I will be interested to see what kind of things people will try out with the Switch.

I got a mirror here, and it went through with the ctr-httpwn download, but after that I tried the eshop from the homebrew menu it didn't go much further than having a yellow screen on the bottom. Does it just take a long time to load or am I missing something.

Heres what you need to do. Use ctr-httpwn, then press start. then press "x" to go to home menu, then you should be able to use eshop. Did you get any errors when using ctr-httpwn?

I didn't know I could get out of the Homebrew menu like that, it works and I'm in the eShop. Thanks!
Edit: Well first I need to go make a Mii and set up a Nintendo ID first, but then I'm back to the eShop after that.

Nice. Glad you got it working. If I were you, I'd buy legends of exidia NOW before ol ninty takes it down.

I've been downloading some stuff, but that game is going to help to be able to downgrade the firmware later huh?
Before I buy it I'm just curious, I'm also thinking about buying Ocarina of Time digitially on it to use as a Homebrew Launcher instead of using Cubic Ninja so I can always have a launcher on the system at all times.

Yes, if you want a chance of downgrading, you should buy Legends Of Exidia. The single 3ds downgrade is supposedly coming out in the end of december, but you should get it before nintendo takes it down. And yes, Ocarina Of Time would be a good option, so you don't have to have CN all the time.
