Alright, I'm back in the fray with another interesting discovery. 
I posted a video on youtube about a year ago showing this "Read Check Program Disc", you can see it here:

So, I finally got around to joining the "homebrew" scene on my wii and discovered I could dump images from GC discs using CleanRip. I popped in this disc and ripped away. To my surprise, the image file is quite large for what little the program must need to run.. 1.425GB
I opened this image in GC-Tool and here's the discovery:
Take note of the date: June 9th, 2001. This date is, only by a couple months, earlier than the initial Japanese launch.
Any thoughts, comments? I don't know much about digging through a GC ISO. I know some people have requested the DOL file, not sure if anyone would be interested or if that's even allowed.
