Hacking re-format my SD card, just start from scratch on a CFW sys 11.8.0-4u

hey,
i have been dealing with an
'an exception occurred processor ARM9 data abort'
issue for a few weeks now.

i saw one thread to delete the 0000008f folder, and once i did, then it pretty much crashes all the time. i cannot even get to the main screen.

IF i take my SD card out of the 3ds, it runs, but no fbi, homebrew launcher icon, etc.
but i am still on sys CFW!

i have been playing an older full on cartridge, so i have not played too many games yet. so i do not have too many saves if any, so i can totally just wipe the slate clean and start over.

so how do i reinstall fbi and homebrew launcher?
and then, do i just reformat my microsd card?
(note, i put my nand backup on a separate hard drive when i first customized the 3ds! so all that is on the microsd card are cias, etc)

i do not mind trying to save the card set up, if anyone can help.

BEFORE i deleted the 0000008f folder, the only time i would get the arm11 or arm9 error was when i entered data settings to delete a game, OR when i tried to delete a game in FBI. i assume i tried to install a bad cia, and it screwed the whole thing up lol.

basically it seems, the microsd card files are all screwed up, so i gotta fix those up and start again.

if anyone could help, i would be greatly appreciative!

You'd probably want to initialize/format the console, format SD as fat32, put luma and homebrew launcher on sd and follow this to reinstall the important stuff.

i was worried about going thru that, because godmode and luma launcher seem to work already.
guess its pretty easy then!

if i turn it on, and its still cfw, isnt it set up already just to inject fbi, homebrew, etc?

thanks! seems to be working, i just formatted the card, reinstalled luma and homebrew. and the rest was downhill.
